Scientists use MRI to create Custom-Fit breast implants

NCT ID NCT07628517

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 24, 2026

Summary

This study aims to use MRI and 3D images from 25 women who have had or will have a mastectomy (breast removal) to develop a computer model for a customizable breast implant called MyBREAST One. The goal is to create implants that are tailored to each person's body. This is an early-stage research project focused on building the computer model, not yet testing the implant in patients.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

computer modeling of breast implant

What this could lead to

If successful, this could lead to more personalized, better-fitting breast implants for women undergoing reconstruction after mastectomy.

What could go wrong

This is a very early, small study (25 participants) focused on developing a computer model, not testing an implant in people. The modeling may not translate to real-world surgical outcomes.
