New disc implant aims to ease pain after herniated disc surgery

Summary
This study tests a new artificial disc implant (PerQdisc) placed during surgery for a herniated disc. The goal is to see if it is safe and helps reduce back and leg pain. About 50 adults with a single herniated disc in the lower back will take part. The implant is meant to replace the removed disc material and support the spine.
