Gum smarts: do future dentists have healthier mouths than psych students?

NCT ID NCT07405541

First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at how much final-year dentistry and psychology students know about gum disease (periodontitis) and whether that knowledge is linked to their own gum health. About 60 students will fill out a questionnaire and get a dental exam. The goal is to see if more knowledge leads to better oral health habits and healthier gums.
