Gum disease study tracks routine treatment results

Summary
This study looks at how well non-surgical gum treatment works for adults with advanced periodontitis (stages 3 and 4). Researchers will measure changes in pocket depth using only routine dental records. About 50 people aged 18-65 who smoke fewer than 10 cigarettes a day and are not pregnant or diabetic can join. No extra tests or procedures are done beyond normal care.
