This study compared two materials, CorMatrix and Gentrix, used to close the protective sac around the heart after surgery. Researchers looked at how long 489 adults stayed in the hospital and whether they needed to be readmitted within 30 days. The goal was to see if one material led to better outcomes, such as fewer fluid buildups around the heart.
