New gum therapy could save failing dental implants without surgery

Summary
This study tests a gentler, non-surgical treatment called MINST against the usual non-surgical care for people with gum disease around dental implants (peri-implantitis). About 106 adults will be treated and followed for 12 months to see which approach better reduces pocket depths and bleeding. The goal is to control the disease and keep the implant healthy without needing surgery.
