Will your implant stay healthy? 3-Year study follows up on gum infection treatments
NCT ID NCT07208643
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether treatments for a serious gum infection around dental implants (peri-implantitis) still work after 3 years. Researchers will check 34 adults who were in an earlier trial, comparing those who had only non-surgical cleaning to those who also had surgery. The goal is to see if the infection comes back or gets worse over time.
