First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at 80 people who had gum infection around dental implants (peri-implantitis) and were treated with surgery, a special laser, and antibiotics. Researchers will check their gum health, bone levels, and bacteria up to 10 years later to see how well the treatment holds up. The goal is to find out if this approach can control the disease long-term and prevent further bone loss.
