First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study follows 80 adults who had gum disease around dental implants (peri-implantitis) and were treated with a special laser plus antibiotics. Researchers will check gum health, bone loss, and infection levels up to 10 years later to see how well the treatment holds up. The goal is to control the disease and prevent further damage, not to cure it.
