NCT ID NCT07239817
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study compares a new local numbing technique (PENG block) to standard spinal anesthesia for adults having hip replacement surgery. Researchers want to see if the new method controls pain just as well while allowing patients to move their leg sooner. About 100 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups, and their pain levels and movement will be tracked for two days after surgery.
