Summary
This study compared two ways to manage pain after total hip replacement: a newer nerve block called PENG and the standard surgical infiltration. The goal was to see which method reduces the need for strong painkillers like morphine, especially in older patients who are more prone to side effects. 224 adults having hip replacement took part, and researchers measured their morphine use and pain levels after surgery.
