First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special nerve block called PENG, given before hip fracture surgery, can reduce pain when patients are positioned for spinal anesthesia. Sixty adults having hip nail surgery were randomly assigned to receive the block or not. The goal was to see if the block made positioning less painful and improved pain control after surgery.
