New nerve block could ease shoulder pain in stroke survivors
NCT ID NCT07302711
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special nerve block (PENG block) added to standard physical therapy can reduce shoulder pain and improve movement in people who have had a stroke. About 15 adults with stroke-related shoulder pain will receive the block or a placebo. The goal is to see if this approach helps with pain, range of motion, and quality of life.
