First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMFs) to standard rehabilitation can better reduce pain, swelling, and sensitivity in people with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) of the foot or ankle. About 28 adults who have had CRPS for up to 3 years and are already receiving a specific medication will be randomly assigned to get either PEMFs plus rehab or rehab alone. The goal is to see if the combination improves recovery and quality of life.
