Summary

This study tested whether giving the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab for one year after standard treatment could delay cancer recurrence in 100 patients with high-risk head and neck cancer. Half received pembrolizumab and half received a placebo. The main goal was to see how long patients lived without their cancer progressing.
