First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This early-phase study tested the safety of combining the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab with precise radiation (SBRT) to the liver in 15 adults with colorectal cancer that had spread only to the liver. The goal was to see if this approach could prevent the cancer from returning one year after all visible disease was surgically removed. The study focused on safety and recurrence rates, not on curing the disease.
