Bladder cancer trial combines two treatments to fight tough tumors

NCT ID NCT02560636

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests the safety and best dose of an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) given alongside radiation for people with advanced bladder cancer. About 34 participants will receive the drug before and during radiation, then continue it for up to a year. The goal is to see if this combination can control the cancer better than either treatment alone.
