Summary

This early-phase trial tested the drug pembrolizumab in 20 adults with a slow-growing form of multiple myeloma that has a higher risk of becoming active cancer. The goal was to see if the drug could shrink or control the cancer and delay its progression. Pembrolizumab helps the body's immune system attack cancer cells more effectively.
