New drug combo aims to slow advanced prostate cancer

Summary
This study tests whether combining two drugs—pembrolizumab (an immunotherapy) and 177Lu-PSMA-617 (a targeted radiation therapy)—can slow the growth of advanced prostate cancer that has stopped responding to hormone treatments. About 48 men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer will receive both drugs. The main goal is to see how long it takes for the cancer to worsen.
