First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study adapted a questionnaire called the Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia to measure fear of movement specifically in people with pelvic pain. Researchers tested the new version with 170 adults who have chronic pelvic pain to see if it is a reliable and valid tool. Participants filled out surveys about their pain and fears. No treatments were given, and the goal was to create a better way to assess this fear for future research and care.
