Mud baths and exercise ease back pain, study finds
NCT ID NCT07601789
First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether combining mud therapy (peloidotherapy) with exercise helps people with chronic low back pain. Forty adults were split into two groups: one received mud therapy alone, the other added core exercises. After 10 sessions, both groups felt better, but the exercise-plus-mud group had greater improvements in pain, daily function, and quality of life, which lasted at least a month.
