First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tested a 12-week program where older veterans with health problems and trouble moving around worked with a peer leader to improve their diet and exercise. The goal was to see if this approach could help them walk farther and eat healthier. Thirty veterans took part, and the results will help design larger programs to keep older adults active and well-nourished.
