NCT ID NCT05049330
First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026
Summary
This study aimed to create a risk assessment tool to help emergency workers and doctors decide which children truly need neck immobilization and X-rays after a blunt injury (like a car crash or fall). Researchers studied over 22,000 children to find patterns that predict serious neck injuries. The goal is to reduce unnecessary treatments and radiation exposure for kids who are not at risk.
