Summary
This study looked at whether a special numbing method called PECS, given during mastectomy, can lower the chance of chronic pain 6 months later. It involved 194 breast cancer patients having a mastectomy, with or without lymph node removal or breast reconstruction. The approach aims to ease recovery and reduce lasting pain.
