Summary
This study tested whether a peanut-based food supplement, taken daily for 12 weeks, could improve nutrition and health in adults aged 60 and older living in peri-urban Ghana. 81 participants were randomly assigned to either receive the supplement or continue their usual diet. Researchers measured weight, blood pressure, hand grip strength, and blood markers like albumin and hemoglobin to see if the supplement made a difference.
