New study could change how we treat advanced throat cancer

Summary
This study is for people with nasopharyngeal cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. Researchers want to see if waiting to give radiation to the head and neck area (only if needed later) works as well as giving it right away, after initial treatment with a PD-1 inhibitor plus chemotherapy. The goal is to find a way to reduce side effects without harming survival. About 260 adults aged 18-70 will take part.
