Immunotherapy before chemo shows promise for Hard-to-Treat cancers

Summary
This study tests whether giving the immunotherapy drug TSR-042 first, followed by standard chemoradiotherapy and surgery, can shrink or eliminate advanced solid tumors that have a specific genetic feature called mismatch repair deficiency (dMMR). About 212 adults with locally advanced dMMR tumors will receive the drug and be monitored for a complete response at 12 months. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and effective enough to avoid more aggressive treatments.
