Plasma-Powered gel could speed up healing of stubborn wounds

NCT ID NCT07541196

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests a special gel made with plasma-activated water to see if it helps heal chronic wounds like diabetic foot ulcers and pressure sores faster than standard treatments. About 50 adults with wounds that haven't healed for over 3 months will either get the gel or usual care for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure wound size, infection levels, and pain to check if the gel is safe and effective.
