Families speak out: what we want to know from genetic testing

NCT ID NCT02814747

Summary

This study explored how families of children with rare developmental disorders feel about receiving different types of genetic test results. Researchers surveyed and interviewed 530 parents in France to understand their preferences about what information they want from advanced genetic testing. The goal was to improve how doctors communicate complex genetic findings to families before these tests become routine in clinical care.
