Patients' smartphone reports could cut chemo waste

NCT ID NCT04008056

Summary

This study tested whether asking patients to report their symptoms via a smartphone or computer before a chemotherapy appointment could help doctors decide whether to prepare the treatment. Researchers wanted to see if this patient feedback was as useful as a doctor's physical exam. The goal was to reduce the number of prepared chemotherapy doses that go unused and are destroyed.
