First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested whether paroxetine, a drug usually used for depression, can help control rheumatoid arthritis when added to standard treatments. One hundred adults with active arthritis took part. The main goal was to see if their joint disease activity scores improved. The approach is to boost the effect of existing therapies without replacing them.
