Summary
This study looked at whether a robotic seal named PARO can reduce behavioral issues like agitation and anxiety in elderly people with moderate to severe memory problems living in nursing homes. The goal was to see if using the robot improves quality of life and is worth the cost. The study planned to include 33 participants but was ended early.
