First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at 38 people with mild to moderate Parkinson's disease to compare two strength training methods: high-speed power training and periodized training (which cycles through different types of exercise). The goal was to see which approach better improves muscle strength, power, and everyday activities like walking. Participants completed the training program, and researchers measured changes in how much weight they could lift and how fast they could walk.
