Can smart socks predict falls in Parkinson's patients?

NCT ID NCT07281755

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study is testing whether special smart socks (called DANU) can accurately measure how people with Parkinson's walk and keep their balance. Researchers will compare the socks' readings to standard lab equipment. The goal is to see if these socks can help predict falls in the future. About 60 people with mild to moderate Parkinson's will take part, and no treatments or medications are being tested.
