Summary
This study tested whether a new, more precise setting for deep brain stimulation could help with walking and balance problems in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers worked with 19 patients who already had brain stimulators implanted. They carefully adjusted the electrical current to see if it could reduce freezing of gait and improve stability during walking tests.
