Summary
This study tested the safety of a brain surgery called subthalamotomy using focused ultrasound (ExAblate) to treat movement problems in Parkinson's disease. Six people who already had one side treated joined the study to get the other side treated. The goal was to see if the procedure is safe and if it can reduce symptoms like tremor and stiffness when measured off medication.
