Cash and coaching for moms: can digital tools boost Kids' start in life?
NCT ID NCT05598970
Summary
This study tested whether providing digital tools to community health workers and giving cash directly to families could improve early childhood development in Tanzania. It involved over 3,500 pregnant women across 258 communities, who received either digital parenting guidance, bi-monthly cash transfers, both, or standard care. The goal was to see if these supports could lead to better cognitive, language, and nutritional outcomes for children by helping families during pregnancy and the child's first year.
