Summary
This study tested three different parent-training strategies to help reduce anxiety in children ages 7 to 11. The strategies included reducing how much parents accommodate their child's anxiety, increasing empathetic responses, and changing unhelpful parent thoughts about anxiety. A total of 266 families took part, and researchers measured changes in children's anxiety and daily life over 12 weeks.
