Can talking to your teen predict their mental health?

NCT ID NCT05332236

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested a German questionnaire about how parents and children (ages 10-18) communicate. Over 2,300 families took part, and researchers checked if communication quality was linked to teens' mental health and physical symptoms. Two years later, they followed up to see if early communication could predict later mental health.
