Wearable device zaps pancreatic tumors alongside chemo in new trial
NCT ID NCT07284277
Summary
This study is testing whether a wearable medical device that delivers low-intensity electric fields (called TTFields) is safe and effective when used alongside a standard chemotherapy regimen for metastatic pancreatic cancer. The trial will enroll about 30 adults to see if the combination can better control the cancer and improve survival. Researchers will closely monitor side effects, how well patients tolerate the device, and whether the treatment slows cancer growth.
