Blood test could predict pancreatic cancer recurrence before scans
NCT ID NCT05788744
First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple blood test can find bits of tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with pancreatic cancer that can be surgically removed. The goal is to see if these DNA markers can predict if the cancer will come back early and how long patients will live. Researchers will also test if adding these blood tests to regular scans helps patients live longer. About 1000 people with suspected or confirmed pancreatic cancer will take part.
