First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests a new ultra-short treatment regimen that works for both drug-sensitive and drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB). The goal is to reduce treatment from the usual 4-6 months down to just 2-3 months, making it simpler and cheaper. About 610 adults with active pulmonary TB will take part across multiple centers in China. The study will also look for new markers to predict treatment success.
