This completed study observed 178 patients with advanced cancer, chronic kidney failure, or chronic lung diseases to assess their palliative care needs and survival factors. Researchers used two scoring tools to evaluate when and how to best introduce palliative care alongside regular treatment. The goal was to avoid overly aggressive care and improve patient comfort.
