First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests a higher dose of the eye medication aflibercept (8 mg) given on a personalized schedule for people with a specific type of wet macular degeneration called polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV). The goal is to see if this approach can safely extend the time between treatments to 16 weeks or longer, reducing the number of injections needed. The trial involves 50 adults with untreated PCV and will follow them for nearly two years.
