New schizophrenia injection compared to market leader in chinese trial

NCT ID NCT07493551

First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study compares a new version of the long-acting schizophrenia injection paliperidone palmitate (given every 3 months) to the approved drug Invega Trinza. About 260 adults with stable schizophrenia will receive multiple doses to see if the new formulation works similarly in the body. The goal is to confirm bioequivalence, meaning the new injection is expected to control symptoms just as well as the existing one.
