Gum graft recovery: could a glue beat stitches?

NCT ID NCT06806111

First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests if using a medical glue (cyanoacrylate bioadhesive) instead of stitches helps people heal better after a gum graft is taken from the roof of the mouth. About 66 adults will be randomly assigned to get either stitches or glue. Researchers will track pain, bleeding, and healing for up to 4 weeks to see which method leads to a smoother recovery.
