New dental plate tested for better jaw correction
NCT ID NCT07360509
Summary
This study compared two methods for correcting skeletal Class III malocclusion, a condition where the lower jaw protrudes beyond the upper jaw. Researchers tested a palatal plate against a conventional tooth-borne anchorage system, both used with a facemask, in 14 growing patients. The goal was to see which method produced better skeletal and dental changes in the upper jaw.
