First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study follows 120 adults with sciatica from a herniated disc who receive a steroid injection in the spine. Researchers will track how quickly pain changes in the first few weeks and see if that pattern predicts whether pain is cut in half at 3 and 6 months. The goal is to better understand who benefits most from this common procedure.
