First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study compares two new pain management methods—methoxyflurane (an inhaled painkiller) and a virtual reality headset—against standard care for people with a dislocated shoulder. The goal is to see if these approaches can reduce the need for strong sedative drugs during the procedure. About 150 adults will participate, and the study is currently recruiting.
