Simple pill before dental work cuts pain in half
NCT ID NCT07271654
Summary
This study tested if taking a single painkiller pill before a root canal procedure helps reduce pain in the hours after treatment. 160 patients with severe tooth pain were split into two groups: one took the painkiller beforehand, and the other did not. The study found that patients who took the pill before their procedure were significantly more likely to be pain-free at 6 and 12 hours later.
